01Connection rescue
When it gets tight, you already have a plan B.
You're sitting on the tram and it dawns on you: you're not going to make the transfer. ÖffiGo works out an alternative from where you are, before you even realise you need one.

You're on tram D towards Nußdorf. Four minutes late, and your 18:02 S1 connection is getting tight.

Via Schottenring on the U4. A four-minute walk, one transfer fewer, and you're there six minutes earlier.
A suggestion only shows up if it saves you at least three minutes. And never with more transfers or walking than you allow. And when ÖffiGo notices from your location that you never got on, it asks instead of just assuming.

Save both directions as a favourite. One tap and the right one is already up.

Distance, trips, time and CO₂. It all stays on your device and you can delete it whenever you want.
Offline
Your last loaded board and the steps of your trip keep working without a signal.
Follow along
The light version without navigation: progress in the step list and on your lock screen, and otherwise it stays quiet.
Collect
Coins, ranks and achievements for riding. It runs along in the background without the app nagging you.

We work from measured arrival and departure times, day after day. Find your line and see when it struggles. Vienna and Styria are covered so far.
04Data source
Primary data source: Verkehrsauskunft Österreich.
VAO supports ÖffiGo, a school project, with access to its services. Place search, route planning and disruption alerts all run on it. Without that support ÖffiGo would not exist in this form. Thank you.
