Good to know

Where do the notices come from?

From the operators themselves: Mobilitätsverbünde Österreich for every state, Wiener Linien and ÖBB. ÖffiGo collects them and shows them unchanged.

How current is the list?

The page checks every few seconds whether anything has changed and then reloads the list by itself. Wiener Linien notices arrive within half a minute, those from the other states and from ÖBB within a few minutes.

What separates a disruption, works and a notice?

A disruption is unplanned: an accident, an ambulance call-out, a breakdown. Works are planned and usually mean a diversion, a moved stop or a replacement service. Notices are everything else, such as changed times on a public holiday.

What does “Announced” mean?

The notice is not in force yet but already scheduled, such as works starting next week. Once it applies, it moves up into its group.

Can I get a confirmation for school or work?

Yes, from the operator. For Wiener Linien and ÖBB disruptions, the notice's page says where to get it.
